Participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

This year, the Russian company that produces autonomous robots for professional cleaning, Waybot Avtomacon Robotics, took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum for the second time.

The cleanliness at the stand of the state development corporation VEB.RF was provided by a new model of the robot, developed in 2025. Unlike its competitors, the compact but productive Cleanbotics 400 PRO is capable of not only wet cleaning, but also dry cleaning without manually replacing the current unit.

The CEO and founder of the company, Maxim Oleynikov, spoke about Waybot Avtomacon Robotics at Invest-Strelka. In 90 seconds, promising innovative entrepreneurs presented their projects to experts. The latter did not hesitate to ask pointed questions about the demand and payback of business ideas.
The jury included Chairman of the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation Sergey Perov, Rector of Skoltech University Alexander Kuleshov, Vice President of the Russian Export Center Alexander Molodtsov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of the City of Moscow Kristina Castorama and other relevant specialists.

“The dialogue turned out to be interesting,” says Maxim Oleynikov. “Of all the participants, I was asked the most questions. Many experts are already familiar with the Waybot brand, but are not immersed in the market. Mikhail Kuleshov believes that our product will become truly in demand only when the robot is “cheaper than three Tajik women with mops.” But this moment has already arrived! Starting in 2022, the cleaning industry has been experiencing a huge labor shortage. Market participants report a 70% increase in wages in cleaning. Taking into account tax deductions, the salary of even one cleaner is higher than the monthly rent of a robot for autonomous cleaning. We can confidently say that in the next couple of years, robots for professional cleaning will appear in almost all public spaces, including local stores.
The experts were also interested in the "level of Russianness" - this question is asked to us very often. Our works are developed and assembled in the Russian Federation, controlled by our own software, some components are also produced in the Russian Federation. Taking into account the cost of many years of research and development work by Waybot, Chinese components make up no more than 10% of the price of the robot.

One of the results of participation in the SPIEF for Waybot Avtomacon Robotics was the inclusion of the company in the large-scale competition of Russian brands "Know Ours" 10 winning brands will be presented to the president in early July.
