"Strong Ideas for a New Time" in Moscow

On July 3, at the forum “Strong Ideas for a New Time” in Moscow, the founder and CEO of Waybot Automacon Robotics (GC “Avtomacon”) Maxim Oleynikov personally presented his business to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The company that produces autonomous robots for professional cleaning Waybot Avtomacon Robotics entered the TOP-10 Russian brands according to the results of the large-scale competition "Know Ours".

Together with 11 other leaders of the competition, Maxim Oleynikov took part in the exhibition of Russian brands, which was visited by the President.

The event was organized by ASI, the Roscongress Foundation and the state development corporation VEB.RF.
"During a short presentation, I managed to tell the President about innovative technical and design solutions, about the team, about development plans," reports Maxim Oleynikov. - As a joke, I asked the question: "Cleanbotics already provide cleanliness in many authoritative institutions, but not in the Kremlin, can this be fixed?" The President responded favorably, smiled, and said that robots could very well clean there.

There were 11 more participants at the exhibition, from different regions of Russia, including remote ones. Many businesses were related to decorative and applied arts, the food industry, and clothing production. I saw many interesting things! But we were the only ones there with a high-tech product, and one made entirely in Russia. Regarding the meetings, there were many high-ranking guests: Maxim Oreshkin and Igor Shuvalov. Each participant had a few minutes to talk with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Despite the fact that the President's schedule after visiting the exhibition included a telephone conversation with Donald Trump, he listened very carefully to all the participants and did not rush anyone. Although the rules for such meetings are usually quite strict."

A truly Russian robot

Waybot's main product is a line of autonomous robots for professional cleaning of public and commercial premises Cleanbotics. Most cleaning robots presented on the Russian market are manufactured in China, with a greater or lesser degree of localization for sale in the Russian Federation.

Cleanbotics were developed from scratch by Russian engineers, work on Waybot's own software, and are assembled in Rostov-on-Don. Some components are also manufactured in Russia.

One of the tasks facing Waybot is to transfer the production of the robot body to the Russian Federation. There are only a few 3D printers in Russia that are capable of printing such a complex and large object, but the cost of outsourcing the production of the body in the Russian Federation is comparable to the price of the entire robot.

Therefore, Waybot applied for a grant to the Foundation for Assistance to Innovations. The goal is to purchase a high-tech industrial 3D printer for printing bodies. This will allow assembling a new robot every 24 hours.

Waybot Robotics is a Skolkovo resident. In 2020, the company already received support from the Innovation Assistance Fund. The first grant became the basis for creating a full-fledged business from a student startup.

Robotic cleaning - the answer to the problem of personnel shortage

Cleanbotics are designed to replace floor scrubbers and compensate for the significant shortage of low-skilled labor that Russia has faced in the last two years. According to various estimates, the growth of salaries for line cleaning personnel from 2024 is from 40% to 70%. Therefore, from an economic point of view, cleaning is most interested in automated robotic cleaning, including Waybot products.

Cleanbotics solutions are already in operation at the Bashir Rameev IT Park in Kazan, at the Norilsk Nickel office, at the Tatneft headquarters in Almetyevsk, at the flagship center of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care, at the Elizovo airport in Kamchatka and at many other facilities.

The more affordable price of Cleanbotics is also of key importance to consumers. Thanks to successful engineering solutions, Waybot cleaning robots are 30-50% cheaper than Chinese analogues and at the same time have advantages in technical parameters.

Technical innovations

Thus, the flagship model of 2025 Cleanbotics 400PRO, unlike many competitors, has an independent unit for vacuum cleaning and can automatically, without human intervention, switch from floor washing to carpet cleaning.

Cleanbotics 400PRO is comparable in class and dimensions to the Pudu CC1 model, popular in the Russian and global markets. At the same time, the Russian robot charges three times faster and has 2 times more capacious water tanks.
